Bank Sohar’s Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme has been a great success since its launch in 2007, churning out thousands of winners while encouraging the habit of saving among customers .Through the years, the scheme has fuelled the aspirations of customers, giving them hope for a brighter future and a chance at achieving great success through its myriad opportunities for winning cash prizes.
The number of lucky customers that have won with the Bank’s 2017 edition of the scheme has already crossed the 600 mark till date and this number will continue to grow to over 1,350 by year-end owing to the sheer diversity of prizes that result from Hourly, Exclusive, Regional, Branch, Children, General, and Female Draws.

The winners hailed from all Bank Sohar branches across the Sultanate, representing different customer segments ranging from children, female and many more.
The Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme 2017 has been further enhanced to guarantee the most diverse winner categories on the spectrum of Bank Sohar’s customer demographic. Its comprehensive prize break-up increases customers’ chances of winning, thereby encouraging them to also increase savings in their accounts.
Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme 2017 continues with its Hourly prize draws of OMR 1,000 for four winners each from Sunday to Wednesday. In addition, this year the Bank introduced three new Weekly draws, including a Children’s draw where five minor accounts holders each win OMR 100, General draw of OMR 1,500 for two winners, and an Exclusive Weekly draw of OMR 5,000 specifically for the Bank’s customers who maintain high deposit accounts. This will take place in addition to a monthly draw specifically for children where one minor account wins OMR 1,000. The Bank also conducting General draws with one winner of OMR 10,000 monthly; alongside the Female draws with one winner of OMR 5,000 monthly and the Branch Draws, where one customer from each of the Bank’s Branches win OMR 1,000 every month. Lastly, the Bank will be conducting an Exclusive Draw of OMR 100,000 for one winner as part of the Year-End Draws; alongside a Children’s prize draw for one winner of OMR 10,000 and Regional draws where one winner from branches in each of the Bank’s four operational regions, namely ‘Muscat’, ‘Al Batinah’ including Al Buraimi Branch, ‘Al Dakhiliya’ covering Ibri and Sharqiya Branches, and Salalah including Privilege Banking Unit, will win a prize of OMR 20,000 each.
Together with its Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme 2017 and other market leading retail products and services, Bank Sohar provides an extensive network of 29 conventional branches with 57 ATMs across the Sultanate. In addition, Bank Sohar customers can also avail of convenient cash withdrawal services at over 1,000 ATMs across the country operating under the ‘OmanNet’ platform. Bank Sohar’s ATMs continue to operate under the national ATM switch, OmanNet and offer customers convenient access to their accounts at all times, anywhere in the country. Those ATMs located at each of the Bank’s branches perform a dual function - dispensing cash and also as a Cash Deposit Machine (CDM). The Bank’s ATMs at Buraimi and Shinas border continue to operate with the ‘Dirhams Dispensing’ facility; thus adding immense convenience to businessmen who travel and transact business across the border on a regular basis, as well as to customers who visit the United Arab Emirates. Apart from expanding its ATM network to offer greater banking excellence to its customers, Bank Sohar is also ramping up initiatives on value-added services such as mobile and internet banking. The Bank’s E-channels, encompassing SMS banking, internet banking services and a specialised mobile banking application for Android and iPhones, allow customers to access their bank anytime and from anywhere.
