Delivering memorable experiences to its customers amidst the Sultanate’s grand celebrations, Bank Sohar has announced two exciting credit card promotions on the occasion of the Nation’s 48th National Day with attractive prizes.
With a view to reward its active retail cardholders, the first promotion that is running for 48 days till 4 January 2019 will reward the three most frequent Bank Sohar credit card users with a two night stay at Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort.
The second promotion, running for 18 days till 5 December 2018, will give Bank Sohar credit card holders the opportunity to be one of 18 lucky winners of Cinema Tickets, simply by activating and using their credit cards during the promotion period.
Commenting on introducing these two promotions, Mr Khalil Al Hedaifi, Chief Retail Banking Officer at Bank Sohar, said, “In our drive to become recognized as Oman’s most customer-centric bank, we find the grand occasion of the 48th National Day a fitting opportunity to extend celebrations with customers through our retail credit card facilities. Under the first promotion, Classic, Gold, Platinum, Signature, Infinite, and Internet credit cards will be eligible for the luxury hotel stays, inclusive of three meals, spa treatment and three village walks in Al Jabal Al Khadar. The more transactions customers do over the course of the promotion, the highest their chances are to win the luxury stay at one of Oman’s most beautiful tourist attraction.
“Moreover, this specific promotion has been constructed to not only serve our customers, but also boost and play an important role in creating in country value, encouraging local tourism by enabling everyone to get a chance to visit such scenic locations within our beautiful nation”, Mr Khalil Added.
To become eligible for the second promotion with cinema tickets up for grabs, customers must activate their retail credit cards and complete at least one transaction during the promotion period. This includes customers who received cards but did not complete a transaction over the last 12 months, as well as new customers who have yet to activate and spend on their credit card.
Bank Sohar’s focused consumer strategy in 2018 has observed a number of credit card promotions, featuring a tranche of new rewards for Excel Platinum, Signature, and Infinite cardholders. Earlier in the year, Bank Sohar launched a widely successful promotion by offering new customers credit cards with no annual, cancelation, and service charges for life. Adding value to local and international purchases through the Mukafaat Al Mumayaz loyalty scheme, customers that spent over OMR 20 on airfare, hotels, holidays, and car rentals were entered into a draw with the chance of winning 10,000 Mukafaat points earlier this year, bringing greater value to the bank’s customer base during the nation’s peak travel season this summer.0
